General Information
The museum is open to the public on Tuesdays - Saturdays from 1pm - 5pm and until 7PM on Thursdays.
There is no admission fee for the public, but donations are welcome.
Guided tours with mini-lectures are available for groups of 10 or more upon written request. The suggested donation for admission to the Museum is $2.00. For more information, or to arrange group tours, please call (540) 345-4818.

From Interstate 581
Take exit 4W(Orange Ave. West)
Make a left at the first light onto Gainesboro Rd.;
Go 3 blocks and take a right onto Harrison Ave.;
Harrison Museum is 3 blocks up at 523 Harrison Avenue.

Also is available is the Roanoke Valley's African American Heritage: A Pictorial History by Dr. Reginald Shareef. This pictorial is a handsome book that chronicles 100 years of contribution, achievements, and lifestyles of African Americans in the Roanoke Valley.
Museum and Museum Gift Shop Hours are 1 PM to 5 PM, Tuesday thru Saturday. The Museum accepts Visa and MasterCard.
